For the coming year........

I thought I would try to discipline myself to get on my blog and write at least once a week to keep you all posted on what's going on with my work and life. Sometimes it's nice to get to know the person who's taking your pictures:)

So, this week we're getting back into the swing of things! The kids got on the bus this morning and are back to school. My husband, Jon, dragged his back-side out of bed and got to work before 6:30. What a guy! After 2 weeks of being home with everyone, I'm really going to miss them!

We were able to get a lot of kitchen renovations done in the last couple weeks! I'm so excited to have my kitchen back in working order! It's not completely finished, but the doors are on, the counter top is on and my kitchen table is finally clear of dishes, tools and clutter! We have been working on our kitchen since September! We are big DIY-ers, so we did all the work ourselves. Quite rewarding! My husband single-handedly refaced the cabinet doors, painted the cabinets, intalled new hardware and tiled the backsplash! Now we just need to paint the walls, replace the ceiling fixtures and get a stainless fridge! It just keeps going! :)

I have a lot of plans this year in life and in my work. It's going to be a fun ride! I really enjoy learning more and more about my camera, lenses and photoshop. However, I try not to use photoshop unless I REALLY need to. Less is more, and there is such a thing as too much 'fixing'.

So, stay tuned.....Whether or not I'm posting pictures or just blogging, I'll be on her a lot more often letting you in on my life and my photography biz:)
