YOU GOT ME A PHONE!?

Time for some personal images:)  Bailey recently celebrated her 12th birthday and has been begging for a cell phone.  We've told her that she can wait until she's driving....
Then she started getting involved in extra curricular activities, etc, so we decided that we needed a way to get ahold of her. You know, like on the day when I totally forgot that I was suppose to pick her up and didn't realize it until 20 minutes later.....sorry, Bailey! ;)
So, anyhoo, when her birthday rolled around last week, we put a shiney new phone in a box and dialed her new number.  Here's the sequence of events.......it was quite funny.

Low Light and Camera Movement....

More flaws, comin' right at ya;)  I'm posting a couple before and after images that show how I typically 'hide' low light and camera movement problems.  Phototshop is my first stop.  I really don't like photoshopping images.......at all.  I try my VERY hardest to make sure my camera's settings are always 'right on'.  I shoot manually, (meaning I don't change any of my automatic settings to do the work for me), and sometimes it just gives me a little trouble.  Boo, hiss!
So, here's a couple before/after images.  *And if there are any photographers out there who know a better 'quick fix' please feel free to LET ME KNOW! :)

Dyanne & Kevin's Shoot

The priviledge and honor is all mine!  I had SO much fun on Sunday shooting for Dyanne & Kevin's album....And in June I get to shoot the beautiful Dyanne and Troy's wedding!  Here's part of a sneak peak from Sunday's extravaganza:)

I Am My Own Worst Critic!

Sometimes we do a session and the images look great on our little view finder on the DSLR camera.  But, then we go home, download them and see that we are, alas, fundamentally flawed!  NNnooooooo! ;)
When I do a session and look at the images, I want to make sure that my customers are COMPLETELY satisfied!  I'll be the first on to admit that I'm not the greatest and best photographer around....mistakes are ultimately & eventually going to happen.  And I hate that!  So, when that happens I contact my customers and let them decide if they like their images or not....if not, then we will schedule a complimentary session and make things right:)
These next images are part of a session that I did on Sunday.  Some of them turned out, some of them did not.  Then I realized what happened....The caretaker at the mansion turned on the overhead lights halfway through my session and I didn't even realize it.  But when I got home and looked at the images, they looked way too, well, NON-natural light-ish.
Sarah:  Let me know what you think and we'll work something out:)  Thanks!!!

Spring is Here....sort of.

On Friday, I had so much fun with the McCrady family!  It was my first time shooting in downtown Decatur, (which is sad considering we've been here 4 years), and the weather was PERFECT!   And then the cold moved back in and here I sit, shivering as I write!  *sigh*
But here are a few of my favorites from our very wonderfully warm Friday afternoon! :)  Enjoy!

Whew!

Made it before the buzzer!  I'm down here editing some new images, (which are so much fun, by the way), and notice that I only have a couple minutes to post my daily blog!  Yikes!  I'll be honest; I really can't afford to give away any sessions right now:) LOL  We are so busy with the house and our trips down to Arkansas still have to be planned, so my April/May schedule is still a little jumbled.  BUT I will be doing my best to post....

So, before my time is up and I give away another $50 bucks, I better post this and be done:)  Gosh, I hope I don't sound like a tight wad.....it's late. LOL  I love you all!!!  Try to catch me next time;)
Good night!

I Love a Parade!

This past Saturday, I had the priveledge of marching in Decatur's St. Patty's Day Parade and photographing for the Illinois English Bulldog Rescue.  These dogs were amazing!  Talk about personality!  Here are a few of my favorites!

Tia Wind Photography

Welcome to my blog! I'm so glad you stopped by! I try to blog daily, but I'm sure I'll fall off the wagon eventually:) So, here's a little about me.....

I'm a wife, mother, sister and friend. I take my camera EVERYWHERE I go. Creating images that make my customers happy is my one and only goal! I love, love, LOVE getting behind the camera and do so every chance I get! I'm located in the Benton/Bryant/Central Arkansas area.

I'm an on location natural light photographer, which means I come to you and I use whatever light is available. I don't lug around heavy lights and equipment. And the best part about that is the fact that I don't have any overhead! Which means I can offer YOU great pictures at amazing prices!

Enjoy cruising through my blog:) Call me for details on my sessions and investment. I look forward to building my list of new friends and clients!

Enjoy!!!
