Happy Birthday, Carly!!

Yesterday I had a blast shooting Carly's 2 Year session! I chased her during most of our session, but that's how I like it!  I really enjoy capturing kids in their natural state, which typically involves NOT standing still:)  Here are a few of my favorite images from our session!

Good Thursday morning!!  What a gorgeous day!  The temperature is starting to fall below 'Freakin' Hot' and it looks like a cool down is on it's way!  Just in time for my busy season!!  Hooray!!

~For the month of September I'll be hosting a Kids Casting Call & Photo Contest.  Basically, this is a chance for you to get a FREE SESSION for your child!  Casting Calls are used by most photographers to build their portfolio.  You receive a free session and I receive time behind the camera.  Simple as that.  No strings attached!  I'm only taking 7 appointments for the casting call.  In Oct. Like I said......there's LOTS going on:)  I'm so excited, (and a little anxious), to get behind the camera!  Rebuilding a business from the ground up is harder than I thought it would be!  With a break in the temperature and fall on the way, (have you noticed the trees are starting to turn?!), I'm anticipating wonderful things!!!  Don't wait until the last minute to book.  If history repeats itself, (and I'm pretty sure it will), my schedule will book fast and furious.  I'm available 7 days a week to accomodate your busy life!!  So, please don't hesitate to call!

Fall Families

I absolutely LOVE the fall!  I can't say it's my favorite time to take pictures, because I love taking pictures ALL THE TIME:)  But, it is one of my busiest and most fun times of the year!  Here are a few images from last year.  I can't wait to add new faces this year!!!

How it Works.

Oh, how I'm anticipating getting my website up and running!  Then the details will be clear and I'll have a spot for everything!  Facebook and the blog are great, but the details seem to get lost.  Anyhoo, I thought I would sit down really quick and post a 'How it Works' blog.

As a photographer, I want you to get the most for your money........bang for your buck!  Especially in THIS economy!  When you book an appointment with me you will receive a disc with ALL the edited images from your photo session.  I don't do any print orders.  It sounds like a bummer, but it saves you BIG TIME!  Print orders are how most photographers make their money.
Not me.  I charge a set fee for your sitting, my time, the disc and the rights to each image on the disc.  Plain and simple.  You can take your disc to any photo retailer or go online to Shutterfly or any other printer and get your prints for WAY LESS than you would at any professional photography studio:)

Project 365

On my facebook page I've been doing the Project 365 that a lot of photographers have been involved with.  It's so much fun!  It's a project that forces me to get behind the camera and keep up on daily postings.  I've slipped up a couple times, but I'm keeping up for the most part:)
Today is day 45.  I thought since not everyone has facebook and my website isn't up yet, (but it's in the works.........SO EXCITED), I would start posting on here as well:)
So, here's Day 45/Project 365:  This is one of my very favorite images from last fall!  And I'm super excited to fill my schedule with Fall Family sessions here in Arkansas!  This year is our first autumn in the south and I can't wait to get even more busy than I've been!  This summer has been so hot........too hot to shoot during most hours of the day.  But as it gets cooler, my calender will get fuller:)

Shooting the boys was a lot more difficult that shooting Bailey!  Let's see, they had to take a break from the Wii, they 'needed' a snack, they had to go to the bathroom, they didn't like the clothes I picked out........need I go on?  Boys, boys, boys!!  I love them, but I wish they liked the camera as much as my daughter;)  Not likely to ever happen.........I know:)  But I got them to smile...kind of.  So, without further 'ado'  and complaining on my part, here's a few images from their 4th grade shoot.

Bailey's 7th Grade Images

I don't know about you, but I don't like school picture day.  It's expensive.  It's posed.  It's not my 'thing'.  So, every year I've started doing a photoshoot with my kids right before school starts.  Yesterday we had fun shooting Bailey's 7th grade images:)  I can't believe how much she's grown up since last year!  Here are a couple images from her shoot:)
