What a wonderful adventure we've been on for the past few months! Making the decision to move to Arkansas wasn't difficult. It was the best choice we could have made! As the movers were loading up the truck for the long haul down south we stood and watched as our lives were packed in boxes and driven away. There was a moment of sadness and tears, but it was fleeting. No way were we going to look at this as a sad day!!
We took a couple days to make the trip down to our new home. Sunday and Monday were spent mozying down the road. Tuesday was spent exploring Little Rock. And Wednesday was the BIG DAY! We signed what seemed like a thousand papers, but when it was all said and done we were homeowners!
We immediately drove from the title company to our new home:) Then we spent the remainder of the day roaming the property, checking out all the empty rooms and mentally placing the furniture, seeing as the moving truck was still a day away.
Thursday came and so did all our stuff! It was nice to direct 'traffic' as the movers brought in boxes and boxes and BOXES! I was starting to worry that we were going to run out of room! But as we started opening everything and filling cabinets and closets...and the attic and garage.....we realized that after a 'small' garage sale, we should be set;)
That brings us to Friday....yesterday. I packed the kids up at 8 o'clock and made the 9 hour drive to my parents house to stay for a couple days. I'm shooting a wonderful friend's wedding then I'm going to RELAX! I'm anxious to get back to the new place! Jon is there overseeing the installation of phone, dish network and other necessities. He's such a great husband!
So, now I sit and write while the kids are still asleep in my sister's room and the only sound I hear are the tree frogs and birds chirping. Yes, it's been an adventure....and it's not over yet!!
